Bigger boobs = Sexy, Self confidence and
Security

The “superficial” society bombards us with the idea that women with bigger boobs are curvaceous, sexy and attractive.  Full breasts indeed have been used as a physical definition of womanhood. This perceived idea of beauty is one of the reasons why many women (including homosexuals) seek BREAST AUGMENTATION. Result of this procedure provides not only physiological but also psychological benefits to women who suffer from poor body image because of small underdeveloped breasts (breast hypoplasia) or of mildly sagging breasts (mild breast ptosis). Some women (especially in the entertainment business) also undergo this cosmetic procedure to enhance their figure. “Most of my patients who are in showbiz say that they get more and more projects ranging from TV, film, product endorsements to magazine pictorials or covers, after their breast augmentation.”  But Dr. Alonzo is quick to add that breast augmentation is for everyone who wants to look and feel good and improve the quality of their lives.

Breast Augmentation or Mammaplasty involves making a single incision in the armpit or in the crease below the breast or around the lower edge of the areola, and then inserting a saline-filled or silicone-gel filled implant either between the breast and the chest muscle or behind the chest muscle. The choice of implant as well as location of incision will be discussed to you in detail during your initial consultation with Dr. Alonzo.

This procedure is done in the hospital with one-day one night stay under general anesthesia. Surgery lasts for 2 hours or more.

After the surgery, you will be prescribed to wear a support bandage bra for a week. Stitches will be removed after 7 days.  Some swelling, bruising, pain and discomfort will be experienced for 1 to 2 weeks. You can resume work and do non-strenuous activities about 7 to 10 days after the surgery. Dr. Alonzo will advise you not to stretch your arms for about a week, and you will be taught how to massage the operated area starting on the 2nd week after surgery. Final results will be seen after 3 to 4 weeks.  

Candidates for this procedure are anyone in healthy condition with realistic expectations. Minors require parental consent and are advised to wait until the age of 16 (because final breast size and shape are usually formed at this age). However, pregnant or nursing women and those who have existing malignant or pre-malignant cancer of the breast are contraindicated for breast implant surgery.
